	[see larger] [see larger]		Tilt Away Attachment This attachment is a must for any bowl turner that struggle with tailstocks. While needed for so many operations, and sometimes used to ensure safety, they are often in the way. The normal solution: take it off. That's the easy part. Getting a heavy tailstock back on your lathe safely, quickly and easily can be a chore. Release the Tilt Away locking lever and tilt the tailstock out of the way. It's just that easy, and you're in control. As the tailstock tilts out of the way, a second set of ways come up an align with the main lathe bed ways allowing you extra room to set up your hollowing rig, support the sliding headstock or what have you.Now the tailstock is COMPLETELY out of the way. Don't be fooled by swing-style attachments that merely move the tailstock to the side and still obstruct full access to the work. To put your tailstock back in position, simply reverse the procedure. 	[see larger] [see larger] [see larger]		Caster Kits Caster Kits come in two styles, one with four swivel casters, and the other with two swivel and two straight casters (shown). The set with four swivels is handy for manipulating your lathe around a tight shop. The set with two straight and two swivel is better suited when you have an open shop or want to move longer distances, like down a hallway or out onto the driveway. The straight casters help the lathe track better when going the distance. In any case, extreme caution needs to be taken when moving a lathe on sloped surfaces. Robust lathes are heavy, and they can quickly get away from you when there is an opportunity to roll. All caster kits come with a compact screw jack for lifting the lathe. There is a bracket on the jack that fits into a notch on the leg assembly to keep it from slipping. The jack lets you get the casters on and off the lathe in tight spaces. The casters attach without tools using the spring loaded plunger - which enters a hole in the foot. In addition, a tab on the caster bracket locates in a hole in the leg. 	[see larger]		Robust Steady Rests This big Bowl Steady Rest is our newest product. It will fit both 24" & 25" lathes. A piece of wood nearly 21" will fit inside. A 20" model is also available to fit lathes like the popular Powermatic 3520. The bearings are heavy duty industrial bearings, not roller skate wheels. 	Robust Sweet 16 The newest Robust lathe has a fixed headstock and a removable gap that can be bolted to the headstock to form an “L” shaped bed. You can turn both sides of a platter, bowl or vessel up to 30” diameter. Great for hollow forms.
